Email Management using arvixe cpanel

Website owners can use Arvixe control Panel to create email accounts associated with their website. After logging into arvixe cpanel, you will see different option to manage your emails.

All of arvixe servers (Windows and Linux) support secure SMTP, secure IMAP and secure POP3. (read more about Secure email on arvixe. Arvixe gives every customer unlimited email accounts so you can create as many emails as you want to help run your business. Each email account will have their own login name, password and quota. The maximum email message size that you can send/recieve through arvixe is 100mb.

Email accounts icon – Click on this icon to create/manage the email accounts associated with your domain(s).

Web Mail – Arvixe Webmail allows you to check your email from any web browser. So account holders can access mail at any time, from any computer with a web browser. There are 3 different mail choices offered – Horde, SquirrelMail, and RoundCube. Your username is your email address and your password is what you have setup in your control panel.

To check your mail through a desktop application such as Outlook Express or Thunderbird, you will need to configure the application.

SpamAssassin and BoxTrapper – These 2 can be used to protect your inbox from spam. Read: How to avoid receiving spam on arvixe

Forwarders – allow you to send a copy of all mail from one email address to another. For example, if you have two different email accounts admin@domain.com and assistant@domain.com, you could forward admin@domain.com to assistant@domain.com so you do not need to check both accounts.

Autoresponders – You can use autoresponders to send a message back automatically to anyone who sends an email to a certain account. This can be useful for times when you are on vacation or unavailable, or if you have a generic message that you wish to send for a support email address.

Mailing Lists – Mailing lists can be useful when sending messages to a large group of people. Just n add the email addresses to a mailing list. This can be very useful when sending newsletters or other updates to large groups of people. You can configure specific settings for your list once it is created by clicking on Modify.

User Level Filtering & Account Level Filtering – These 2 can be used to block span/junk emails. You can block any sort of email, not just mail of a commercial nature. Blocked mail can be deleted automatically or sent to another email address or script.User level filters allow you to create mail filters for a specific address. Account level filters allow you to create mail filters for your domain’s main email account.

Email Delivery Route – This feature shows the specific path that will be taken by an outgoing message, which can be useful for locating problems with email delivery.

Import Addresses/Forwarders – This feature lets you create multiple email accounts, or forwarders, at once by uploading a list. You may use Excel spreadsheet files (.xls) or comma-separated values sheet, aka CSV, files (.csv), to import the data. To create this file, you will need to add a series of email addresses ,passwords and Email quotas to your spreadsheet or CSV file.

MX Entry – This feature allows you to route a domain’s incoming mail to a specific server. This feature can be useful in creating a backup mail exchanger to handle mail during server downtimes.

Email Authentication — This set of features allows you to make your mail server more secure. The email authentication features attempt to provide information so that recipients know the nature of incoming messages. This enables you to discard unnecessary messages.
